I think it's so easy to have specific expectations in mind when it comes to family photos. Maybe you wished you looked different, or that your kids obeyed like robots. Maybe you have in mind a specific way that a family is supposed to interact when coming to have photos taken... and you feel like your family doesn't measure up. I can assure you that if you drop any expectations you have when approaching family photos, you will be delighted to see not only what that does for your stress levels when doing them, but also what that does for the outcome of your pictures.
This family came to have fun. They came ready to play, and let me capture the love they all share. These boys sure do love their mama, and it was lovely to watch!
